Facilitator Training Manual
The Facilitator Training Manual is the main guidance document for the DigiCreate Facilitator Training Package. It explains the purpose of the training, the hybrid delivery model, the two-module structure, facilitator guidance, quality standards, online platform implementation, assessment, completion evidence, and downloadable materials. This manual is especially useful for trainers, facilitators, project partners, and organisations that want to deliver the full training in a structured and consistent way.
Module 1: Designing and Preparing a Virtual Exchange Project
Module 1 helps participants design a meaningful, inclusive, safe, and accessible virtual exchange activity. It introduces the principles of virtual exchange, explains how it differs from a standard webinar, and guides users through learning outcomes, participant journey mapping, digital tool selection, accessibility planning, safety considerations, and preparation checklists. The main practical output of this module is a Mini Virtual Exchange Plan.
Module 2: Facilitating and Moderating Online Intercultural Dialogue
Module 2 focuses on the facilitation and moderation skills needed to support online intercultural dialogue. It helps participants understand the role of the facilitator, create safe and inclusive group agreements, encourage quieter participants, manage dominant voices, respond to conflict or harmful comments, and close dialogue with reflection and learning recognition. This resource is useful for anyone facilitating online group discussions, youth exchanges, virtual classrooms, or intercultural learning spaces.
Participant Workbook, Handouts and Templates
The Participant Workbook provides practical activity sheets, handouts, and templates that can be used during the two training modules. It includes tools such as the Virtual Exchange Design Canvas, Participant Journey Map, Digital Safety and Inclusion Checklist, Facilitation Scenario Cards, and Personal Facilitation Checklist. These materials help participants move from theory to practice by planning activities, reflecting on facilitation challenges, and preparing their own virtual exchange sessions.
Online Platform Content, Forms and Quizzes
The Online Platform Content, Forms and Quizzes document provides ready-to-use content for setting up the DigiCreate Facilitator Training on the online platform. It includes text for the facilitator training landing page, Module 1 page, Module 2 page, and resources page, as well as registration form fields, module quiz questions, reflection prompts, completion form fields, and certificate/recognition text. This resource is particularly useful for platform administrators, trainers, and project partners responsible for publishing the training online and tracking participant engagement.
Appendices, Templates and Tracking Tools
The DigiCreate Appendices include editable materials that support the organisation, delivery, and documentation of the training. This resource contains preparation emails, registration form fields, completion and reflection form fields, certificate text, web page copy, activity sheets, roleplay scenario cards, personal facilitation checklists, safety and inclusion checklists, evaluation grids, and attendance/completion tracking templates. It is designed to help facilitators and project teams manage training delivery and collect evidence for participation and completion.
