For instance, the collaboration between human vision and generative tools made global headlines when an AI-assisted artwork titled “Théâtre D’opéra Spatial” won first place in the digital category at the Colorado State Fair fine art competition in 2022.
The artist, Jason Allen, used MidJourney to generate the core imagery, which he then refined and edited using traditional software.
