What Digital Tools Do Creatives Use Most Today? Insights from the DigiCreate Poll
Digital creativity today is heavily shaped by the tools people use every day. To better understand current creative workflows, DigiCreate asked its community on LinkedIn a simple question: Which digital tools do you use most often in your creative work?
The responses reveal a clear trend.
More than half of the participants, 57%, selected AI and productivity tools as their primary tools. This suggests that artificial intelligence is no longer perceived as experimental or optional. For many creatives, it has become a practical part of daily work, supporting tasks such as idea generation, organization, editing, and workflow optimization.
At the same time, design and video editing tools, social media and content tools, and music, media, and creative apps each received 14% of responses. These results highlight that traditional creative tools remain highly relevant. Visual storytelling, content creation, and media production continue to form the foundation of creative expression.
What stands out is not a replacement of creative skills but a shift in how tools are combined. AI and productivity tools are increasingly used to support creative processes rather than define them. They help reduce repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and allow creators to spend more time on conceptual and artistic decisions.
For DigiCreate, these insights are valuable. They confirm the importance of digital skills education that reflects real-world creative practices. Supporting young creatives means helping them understand not only how individual tools work, but also how to integrate them responsibly and effectively into their workflows.
As digital environments continue to evolve, understanding how creatives work today is essential to preparing them for tomorrow.
