In Digicreate Empower, young creatives from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro are using digital tools and artistic expression to preserve and reimagine their cultural heritage, across borders and generations.
According to the European Commission, cultural heritage includes the knowledge, practices, and traditions of European citizens, and is a key part of Europe’s social and cultural identity.
🎭 Through creative writing, filmmaking, podcasting, and community-based art, DigiCreate supports young people to:
• Express their cultural identity and regional stories
• Translate local traditions into digital formats
• Learn how creative industries help protect and evolve heritage
• Build bridges between cultures through storytelling
As part of our mission, the upcoming Digital Hive Toolbox will help young creators document, remix, and share their local heritage through collaborative digital tools.
