The DIGICREATE Project
The DigiCreate project consists of online virtual exchanges that will help at least 2,500 youngsters (18-30 years of age) to acquire significant digital competencies for the CCI sector and promote intercultural dialogue in 4 Programme Countries and 2 countries of the Western Balkan region (Montenegro & Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The DigiCreate virtual exchanges will run for 36 months and enable every young person in the target group to access high-quality international and cross-cultural non-formal education based on the DigiCreate Methodological Framework developed during the project, without physical mobility.
The activities are organized into 6 work packages and incorporate relevant virtual exchanges from the very start. Within these WPs, the consortium will conduct project coordination & management (WP1), develop and pilot test a new training and methodological framework (DigiCreate Methodological Framework), mentoring program and gamification strategy (WP2), develop and pilot digital tools, as well as the DigiCreate Digital Hive Toolbox (WP3), develop virtual exchange tech and materials to promote virtual exchange (WP4), enhance cooperation between the EU and Western Balkan countries in the fields of youth and creative industries via 3 Virtual Exchange Conferences (WP5), engage youngsters from participating countries, and conduct dissemination activities, as well as a community-building impact assessment (WP6).
DigiCreate Mission
Supporting EU Efforts by Offering Digital Exchange & Tools for Youth in the CCI Sector:
It is DigiCreate’s mission to help young people in the EU, especially young people directed to the CCI Sector, and marginalized and underrepresented groups to have access to high-quality non-formal education to learn digital skills to better succeed in the CCI sector.
The DigiCreate project responds to all of the EU priorities mentioned and will help tackle the challenges youth face in the CCI industry through conducting virtual exchanges (including 3 Virtual Exchange Conferences), a methodological framework, an online digital toolbox and platform, and an online course.
DigiCreate Tools & Activities to Fulfill the Project Mission
DigiCreate will carefully develop a methodological training framework (DigiCreate Methodological Framework developed in WP2) for moderators to facilitate intercultural dialogue between young people engaged in creative and cultural projects to aid in reducing extremism and violence and aid in the development of young entrepreneurs in the CCI sector.
DigiCreate will also develop, coordinate, and monitor the DigiCreate Online Creative Hive Open Digital Toolbox that will be available on the DigiCreate Online Platform. This open platform will offer self-assessment and review tools, tools for professional development, instructional resources, interactive collaboration tools, productivity tools, and training for moderators of virtual exchanges. The platform will empower young people and individuals interested in the CCI sector to take charge of their learning journey and foster their creative development through the acquisition of digital skills. The consortium will also create a DigiCreate Online Course “Digital Marketing and promotion of online activities using digital tools”. This course will be accessible on DigiCreate Online Platform via a link guiding interested learners to the course available on the Learning Library. This educational course will entail modules, digital tools, and material from the DigiCreate Online Creative Hive Open Digital Toolbox, instructions on how to use digital tools for marketing, and a Q&A Section.
DigiCreate Virtual Exchanges
The DigiCreate virtual exchanges will consist of people-to-people activities online that are easily integrated into non-formal educational youth projects or higher education courses. These virtual exchanges will be conducted throughout the project, with virtual debates and training sessions, including online workshops and role-playing simulations in WP2, pilot testing of the effectiveness of the digital toolbox and virtual exchange methodology in online training (WP3), and three Virtual Exchange Conferences (WP5).
By creating all of these tools and organizing virtual exchanges, bringing together youth, youth trainers, higher education professionals, and moderators from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro, DigiCreate will promote intercultural exchange via virtual exchanges. Furthermore, the DigiCreate Online Platform, the DigiCreate Online Creative Hive Open Digital Toolbox, and the DigiCreate Online Course will be disseminated to further target groups in all EU countries. The use of digital technologies for young creatives and the DigiCreate open network platform will promote intercultural dialogue and cross-border mobility using digital mobility, which is useful for those with physical limitations who may be otherwise socially and/or culturally isolated.
Creativity is the focus of DigitCreate’s programs because art can bring people from various cultures together and provide peace and foster innovation and innovative thinking. DigiCreate aims to create a curriculum within the DigiCreate Methodological Framework and the DigiCreate Online Course that is learner-centered and globalized so that learners may experience the interconnected world fully through virtual exchange.
